National Scripps
The Fresno County Superintendent of Schools is a Scripps National Spelling Bee Regional Partner for the fifth year in a row. The FCSS Spell Off Champion will compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in National Harbor, Maryland in June 2024. Visit the website below to learn about Scripps and to read more information about how this time-honored competition provides students from all walks of life the opportunity to build confidence, foster work ethic, practice public speaking, and strengthen social skills. The school site coach from each registered school will receive access to the Teacher Portal on the Scripps website. The Teacher Portal provides practice words, rules, and other resources to support students.
